SAVE THIS RECIPE!!!! I spent the first 40 years of my life falsely believing that I did not like anything that had to do with white chocolate. I was also pretty convinced that I didn’t like regular chocolate buuuuut that’s a different story for a different post, but I digress. With all that being said, I have ZERO idea what possessed me to try this recipe in the first place. Still, one Valentine’s Day, since I was already melting chocolate for chocolate-covered strawberries, I decided that I would give this a whirl because I thought maybe my husband would enjoy it since he loves that regular chex mix that every mother (other than mine of course) made for Christmas…you know that one. So I gave this mix a whirl, and when I tell you that it is the ONLY thing my husband actively requests for EVERY SINGLE HOLIDAY…I am telling you the truth…hand to the LORD. This stuff is SIMPLE. It literally takes about 5 total minutes to pull it all together, can be customized any which way you want it to be, is crunchy, sweet, and stays good for days even if you forget and leave it out all night which I have done MANY a time. ALSOOOOO I make mine GF, but It definitely doesn’t have to be.
Stephanie Says:
- Use festive sprinkles to change this recipe up to fit for every holiday
- DON’T be afraid to switch between plain chocolate candies and peanut butter candies in this mix. They both taste delicious!!! We usually use the peanut butter ones for Halloween
- Mix a bit of food coloring in the melted chocolate for extra fun
- Add marshmallows, popcorn, etc…. for extra flare if you so choose!!!
- DON’T COME FOR MEEEE…I know most of these photos are from my Easter version
