Pajamas to PaGLAMas…4th of July Edition

Apparently, all I have purchased for the past few years has been some sort of loungewear soooo now Pajamas to PaGLAMas is the series that nobody asked for and/or needed. Enter the anxiety emoji followed by the shrug emoji and since I’m a millennial follow those up with the laughing crying face AND the wine glass. In my mind, I dress up for every holiday…..we got spirit YES WE DOOOO. However, I am a HUGE procrastinator, really cheap, and my ADHD that has me shopping for holidays 9 months in advance never allows me to follow through with buying anything until it’s out of stock. I stumbled upon this dress a few days before the 4th and it checked all the boxes I had. It’s under $15, it’s festive, it has stars on it so it will ALWAYS be in style for the 4th, can be worn as a swimsuit cover-up for pool/boat holidays, AND its pajamas so when irresponsibly fall asleep in them…..that’s what they are actually intended for in the first place. This was released again this year in blue stars instead of red along with a red white and blue tie-dye and bandana print. Shop this look HERE orrrrr keep reading for how I styled it.

  1. Pair with a jean jacket and fun summer bag -If you are lucky enough to live in a place that isn’t melting your face off by July 4th just know I am jealous and this is about as simple of an outfit as you can get. Throw on your favorite sandals, Converse, or Vans, and be on your waaaay.
  2. Tie it up and get your gladiator on-Tie this dress underneath your bra on the inside and secure it with a hair elastic. I’m 5’3 so this dress not tied up is a little long on me and this is an easy way to remove some length.
  3. Side Tie it – Decide which is your best leg side and tie this dude up. Easier to control than the front tie and no elastic require.
  4. Add a Sweater – Same jealousy if you live somewhere a sweater is needed but might be my favorite look of the 4. Any summer sweater will do.
